March 3rd training ride

The training location for the day was again, Santa Ana River Trail. I rode up to Green River again with Mike detaching about 3 miles into the ride so that he could maintain a pace that was comfortable for him.

I met up with Don at the bridge behind Kenos and we rode. Headwind was a P.I.T.A after awhile but all was fine. I worked on pacing with Don as we rode side by side most of the way. Actually, pacing was the main goal for this ride. It was very interesting to notice after the ride that my power output was about 40 watts lower this week but my overall ride time was about a minute faster.

Below is the ride graph from Saturday. Click to enlarge. Tomorrow, Monday, I will be doing uphill intervals again after work. Fricken fun! =( At least the weather is nice. It's supposed to be 78 and mostly sunny.

Yes, yes, yes, I'm SO JEALOUS of your 80 degree temps! We FINALLY had a bit of a warm up this week, but it's gonna rain/snow again this weekend. Enjoy it!
Oh, and I'm jealous of the power tap too!
