It's hot yet again today. It's about 97 and the A/C is on. I'm stuck inside doing homework and watching the 2008 Giro d'Italia - Stage 9.

Yesterday the TT bike was built. She's very pretty and certainly quick. It's amazing how different the ride is from a road bike. The TT bike is just totally comfortable. Handling takes some getting used to since you're laid out in front of the bike but it's a quick learning curve.

As mentioned earlier, I went down to Santa Ana to ride 40 miles on the river trail. The TT bike uses muscles a lot differently. I completed the 40 miles in identical time with last week but I had to work harder for it. Don says my legs will get used to working on the new bike. In time I hope to be dropping minutes off 1:57:10 finish time. For now though, it's all about leg fatigue on training rides again as my muscles get retrained.

For comparison sake I'm posting last week's ride data and today's as well. Click to enlarge.

so, so true with the change in bike position! It took some adjustment for me to get used to my TT bike...one could argue that on these 100+ mile rides, my neck/shoulders are still getting adjusted to the aero position. It's definitely a different feel, but love the speed! Glad you like your new ride!!!
