I went down to the River Trail today and knocked out 40 miles on the TT bike. Since I haven't spent a lot of time on this bike the past couple months I'm a bit slower than I'd like to be. I only averaged 21.5 mph. I could have probably gone harder but riding on a new Tri saddle that wasn't completely adjusted perfectly and being that it's a new surface probably didn't help much for some of the ride. Alex called me 5 minutes before I got down there and when I listened to the voicemail it was him saying he wouldn't be there again. Oh well. Mike didn't go either due to work requirements so I rode by myself. There's not a whole lot to say about today's ride. It's pretty much standard stuff. I do feel a little tired but can't seem to settle my mind down enough to take a nap. Sucks because Brynne is actually calm enough I could take a nap and she would just curl up next to me until I got up.
Not only does Brynne vehemently detest bird feathers (she flips out when she sees one much less have to go anywhere near it) but apparently she really isn't cool with dark figures walking down the street early in the morning. I'll post a feather video if I can get one. I was taking her out to go potty Friday morning and someone was walking up our street around 5:30 am. When she noticed it, she started a very low growl. She never lunged since I kept her moving but she must have not liked the fact that she couldn't identify what much less who it might have been. Strange for a dog that is so excited to meet people.

Since Mike and I have no central A/C in the house we have figured a way to partition the house so the rooms that do have window A/C units can retain the cooler air and not have it escape to the rest of the house. Curtain rods and white sheets is what we use. Tacky yes, but functional. It's not like we really have any guests anyway. Of late, Cassie has started this new game of hers early in the morning when she knows I'm up. She will run and lunge at the curtain slack on the floor and stick her little head out playing peek-a-boo. Pretty amusing actually. One pic unfortunately is blurry, the other she was about to pounce on the red eye reduction light being cast on the floor.

Classes for this term are almost over. I have to continue working on a case study (final project) for one of my classes and prepare for an exam in the other.
