First hockey game

I attended my first hockey game last night. We have a new sports stadium in Ontario called Citizens Business Bank Arena. It's fitting considering in Rancho Cucamonga, the neighboring city, is home to the RC Quakes baseball stadium (less than 5 miles away).

The CBB stadium is pretty nice. It looks appealing from the outside and I would say it's what you would expect a hockey stadium to be...a lot of concrete on the inside. We sat 4 rows up from the glass and right next to where the players leave the locker room. That also meant we were right next to the bench. It was fun. Unfortunately the Reign were beaten 5-1 but the deficiencies were obvious. The reign really didn't play with any agression until the last 2 minutes of the 3rd period. That's a little late to be trying to come from behind by 4 goals. There was only 1 fight and it was broken up very quickly which was a bummer.

Piru results were posted from last weekend. Very nice to see the overall time difference between 1st and 3rd place in Cat 5 was 17 seconds.
