First combo workout day!

My original plan was to wake up at 5 am 4 days a week and run, come home, shower and then ride to work. Yeah right! The buzzer went off at 4:45 and I slapped the snooze button for an hour. I've decided 5 am just isn't going to work for me. Instead, I just rode into work. Upon arriving home after work, I took the dog for a walk, changed out of the cycling clothes, put her back in her crate and went for a 1.5 mile jog. I didn't do anything too strenuous. I simply wanted to go run and see if I could get into a breathing rhythm. It's been a long time since I've pounded the pavement. I think the last time I really ran was when I was in the Marines and I just remember the joints screaming for mercy. I found a rhythm and finished the run in 14 minutes.

I plan on repeating today's exercise tomorrow and running 3 miles at the pace I held today. We'll see how that goes.
