It hit 101 I think today. It's mildly windy too. Dawn, do you want this heat? I'll gladly talk to mother nature about sending it your way... =)
Lots going on right now. My school term is wrapping up. This is the last week before finals so I'm pretty excited to have my Associates after next week. I've decided to take a month or two off to relax and pat myself on the back for working full time and school 3/4 time and then head right back for my Bachelors. My courses last 10 weeks with 1 week in between. I never get spring or summer break so my schooling has been one term after another. I think I deserve the time off. I will attain my AAS in Computer Information Systems Summa Cum Laude. The trick will be completing the next step with the same achievement.
Don called earlier and let me know the Bonelli Tri this weekend was cancelled. I thought it might have been due to the heat but it's actually supposed to be 91 Sunday...10 degrees cooler than today and 12 cooler than tomorrow. The reason is because LAFD is staged at Bonnelli and helicopters are making their water pickups from the reservoir to fight the fire up on Mount Baldy. Sadly, that's quite literally 10 minutes north of the house. Officials are blaming an unattended camp fire at 5 am earlier this week so far as I've heard. I don't know why someone would need a campfire at 5 am. Especially when they are strictly forbidden and illegal. Again, from what I've heard it's in the area where I had my black bear run-in about a year ago. In the area of Bear Canyon. It's sad because it's wonderful hike; 6 miles 6000 feet of elevation gain. You hike about 4-5 miles up and then walk along the ridge line (spine) of the mountain range. I'm not a religious person by any means but it truly is an inspiring place to be when you're up along the spine in God's country.
I think I'll ride Santa Ana sunday morning when it's supposed to be cooler.

ha! well, you could send the heat to warm up Coeur d'Alene's lake!
We had a GORGEOUS day here today - I think it actually got into the 80's, and FINALLY - a ride without extreme wind!
