This week has been pretty tough working out.
Monday I ran 2 miles at the gym and hit the weights for chest day. Tuesday I ran 1.6 miles at the gym, hit the weights for back day, rode about 15 miles around Bonelli and then ran a 5k. Wednesday was biceps & triceps day at the gym and ran 1 mile then rode my usual 19 mile loop around Bonelli/town. Tuesday I was definitely feeling my legs on the run. They felt like tar and all the running was adding up since there wasn't much of a rest. That's why Wednesday didn't have any running involved after work. Today I rode the 19 mile loop again and felt more refreshed having rested from running for 2 days.
I probably won't run again until Saturday after I change the valve cover gasket and PCV valve on the car depending on how long it takes.
I'm not racing out in Piru Sunday since the wind is supposed to be kicking up. The weather people are calling for 16 mph steady and 34 mph gusts. I'm not really interested in having the TT bike on the top of the car with the disk wheel mounted and getting it blown around by strong winds like that. Not to mention the danger of being out on course and having a 34 mph crosswind hit me and knock me over with the disc wheel on.
